BIOGRAPHY
Born in Haiti, Beverly Tamara Pierre, professionally known as Skaï, is a multidisciplinary visual artist and emerging film producer based in Montreal, Canada.
Over the past several years, Skaï has exhibited her digital art internationally, participating in showcases with RAW Artists and with Gallea at the 2023 Montreal Home Expo. Her work exists at the intersection of photography and digital collage, blending reality and imagination to create emotionally driven visual narratives.
Expanding her practice into film, Skaï co-produced and co-directed her first official music video for Haitian singer-songwriter and producer Tiemdi, marking a pivotal step in her transition into film production and cinematic storytelling. She is currently working on a few short film projects her first short film in collaboration with Marco Films, where she continues to explore intimate storytelling through sound, mood, and visual composition.
Skaï studied commercial photography at Marsan College, graduating in 2019 with the best portfolio of her class, an achievement that earned her a place in a student exhibition at the McCord Museum in Montreal. Her work has also been featured in multiple international digital exhibitions through the GuruShots platform.
In 2022, her fan art gained international recognition through the #SaveBatwoman and #LetIrisBeGreat campaigns, with her work displayed on billboards in New York, Philadelphia, and Los Angeles. That same year, she was commissioned by fans of actor Candice Patton to create a birthday artwork, which was showcased on a billboard in Los Angeles.
To bring her visions to life, Skaï works primarily with Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro and Procreate, pushing creative boundaries between still imagery and cinematic expression. She specializes in portrait, travel, editorial, and set photography, favoring natural light while embracing experimentation in studio settings. Known for her striking black-and-white photography, Skaï uses contrast and texture to capture emotion and tell stories where silence speaks as powerfully as image.
